U Plastics opts for participation with INITIUM for further growth

Dilsen-Stokkem, Belgium, 5 May 2023 – Plastics processing company U Plastics and industrial holding company INITIUM are joining forces. As an active player in the plastics industry, U Plastics aspires to growth and chooses participation with INITIUM for this purpose. A synergy that offers numerous opportunities for both companies, as well as for customers and employees..

 Growth and ambition

U Plastics has been in the starting blocks since 2017 and has already achieved rapid growth. With a professional background from the plastics industry, the driven owners Bert Knoops and Wouter Frederix are looking for new challenges and, above all, a reliable partner to support them in strengthening and perpetuating their further expansion. “We choose to grow, but absolutely want to do so in a way that we can continue to give top service to all our customers. Through this participation, we have everything we need to tap new markets and realise bigger projects,” says Wouter Frederix.

Challenging customised plastic work

R&D and customisation

R&D plays a vital role within U Plastics. As technology evolves, new techniques emerge and the plastics industry is constantly developing. U Plastics realises innovative customised plastic projects with focused R&D. “Customisation is currently one of our core activities and we would like to capitalise on that further. By problem-solving, we challenge ourselves to be able to offer a solution to every issue. Translating our customer’s specific wishes into sustainable products is our priority,” indicates Bert Knoops.

A sustainable vision of the future

The ecological aspect is what drives U Plastics and it has a clear vision for the future in this respect. Its ambition is to supply products from recycling raw materials and waste materials, in other words, to become a major player in the circular economy. By cooperating with INITIUM, it strengthens its position to respond to opportunities in the future and fulfil its goal. “Wouter and Bert realised a nice growth trajectory for U Plastics! Based on this, and together with their enthusiasm and vision of a circular future, INITIUM decided to participate in this ambitious adventure”, Maarten Bynens points out.
