INITIUM

Achieving sustainable growth

Sustainability, also known as ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance), is an important part of the success of today’s companies. Sustainability is therefore central to the growth path we map out with companies. Together with each company, we discuss specific sustainability objectives and actions, inspired by the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.

During investment decisions, we also pay extra attention to ESG by:

– Excluding industries with negative social and environmental impact

– A thorough evaluation of the environmental, social and governance performance and risks of a company.

This approach ensures that companies not only achieve financial goals, but also contribute to sustainable and ethical values.

In addition, INITIUM is also

founder of VZW TUKI

Maarten Bynens and his wife Ine Vanbuel were inspired from personal experience to establish TUKI by the need to support families who are also facing the challenges of a life-threatening illness in their child.

Founded in 2016, TUKI asbl is a non-subsidised non-profit organisation that works daily to provide financial, administrative, practical and emotional support to parents of children with life-threatening illnesses. Children have the right to have their parents close to them during this difficult ordeal but parents should also have the opportunity to assist their child.

The pressure for parents is enormous: emotionally, practically, financially and administratively. In addition, the information available is very limited. The situation becomes even more complex if the treatment, or part of it, has to be done abroad.

TUKI is the Finnish word for ‘support’,

which TUKI vzw wants to offer, in the broadest sense of the word, to children with life-threatening illnesses (and their parents)
